This is why our story telling is so important. Reminders to people that 1. Our government used to work for US and 2. Women have always been the capable, crucial figures. This isn’t a new strength but it is one we can’t forgot!
It blows my mind when reading primary source documents that so often it was the women doing all the work and coming up with all the ideas. For goddess sake - 9 out Wilson's 14 Points - on which all modern international diplomacy is based - were derived from the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom response to the Treaty of Versailles. His words and theirs are almost verbatim - and he would have been better off taking all 14 from them. But I could go on forever. Thank you for your comment!
